 I thought, compared to the name brand options, these would be worth a try. These are 75% to 90% cheaper than the big box stores or the original inventor of this type of lift. Unfortunately, these are not useful at any price because they do not perform their only function. The video clearly demonstrates that they are unable to lift things. The table in the video can easily be lifted with one hand.

I have tried several versions of "generic brand" lifters trying to save a few dollars, but they all suffer from the same problems. The metal ring is supposed to lock onto the metal bar creating the lifting force. The loose tolerances result in no locking and so no lifting force.
