Concentric Drilling Systems - Casing Systems | Xs S Systems

The Xs S system is used with any size of casing

having a thin wall.

The life of this system is extended due to its geometry. The crown has an internal shoulder (doughnut) to receive impact directly from the driver providing the necessary force to drill and drive down casing. Having a &#;socket type&#; assembly fitting over the casing which allows for better welding alignment. No other system on the market will tolerate the use of a hammer as big as the Xs S drilling system

You will get efficient and thoughtful service from KSQ Technology.

When working with heavy wall casing, we recommend the use of the Xs T drill, which is made especially to give maximum clearance for sub-casing drilling.

>> Characteristics

1. Ring bit and casing shoe assembly is separated, the casing shoe is threaded to casing tube to drilling. Lock the assembly into pilot bit with hammer. The pilot bit's upper shoulder engages the shoulder of the casing shoe.

2. Hammer's percussive energy is transferred through the pilot and ring bits, crushing rock . Part of impact energy advances casing.

For more information, please visit Mining Drill Tools.

3. On completion of drilling and casing , the drill string with pilot bit is retrieved by a slight reverse rotation to unlock the bayonet coupling . The ring bit stays in the hole , and can be recovered only if the casing is retrieved

4. Drilling continues to the desired depth in the bedrock using a conventional drilling.
