OREI 8X8 4K HDMI Matrix Switcher Extender - HDBaseT ...

I&#;ve had this product since February. I don&#;t rate or comment on products, but I wanted to share my Journey. First 8x8 I received, something was wrong. OREI worked through some diagnostics with me. Determined that I needed to return the item and sent me a replacement. Installed in my home A/V network and worked like a charm!

This month (seven months after I installed the 8x8] I bought and installed multiple, very expensive eARC systems and installed the equipment. I connected the 8x8 backbone and nothing worked. After setting up multiple test scenarios was able to isolate the problem to the 8x8. I was livid. I contacted OREI and over the next couple of weeks shared configurations, specs on the eARC equipment. Attempted to do everything in my power to help them help me. They were patient, took all my information to heart and shipped a firmware update in the last couple of days. I had been so frustrated that I had disconnected the 8x8 backbone and went to a RG6 based backbone, expecting a bad ending to this story. I installed the firmware update connected everything together and the fix worked like a charm.

This technology and technology surrounding it are changing rapidly. This manufacturer, patiently, listened to what I was seeing, duplicated the issue in their lab and sent me a fix. Because of the time that I&#;ve had the system, my issues could have gone unnoticed. BUT, OREI is a quality manufacturer. They stood with me, listened to me and fixed what could have been a real problem.

I am fortunate to have chosen a manufacturer that has evolved with me as my needs have evolved. I am ecstatic with the performance of the end-result and the real partnership I feel with OREI.
