Also known as refrigerated trucks, these are Class 4-6 trucks with GVW of 14,001 to 26,000 pounds. We carry refrigerated van body lengths ranging from 16 to 28 feet long. Our truck boxes are sourced primarily from Intercontinental Truck Bodies, Multivans and Grainmaster Manufacturing. We use a combination of Carrier and Thermoking refrigeration units. We offer dock level medium duty trucks as well as low pro ground level units. Most of our dock level units come equipped with power tailgates from Waltco Lift Gates. We also offer units with pull out ramps. Various door types, including swing or roll-up doors, are available to meet your application.

Maxim Truck & Trailer&#;s refrigerated medium duty trucks include 3-ton and 5-ton models. These units are ideal for hauling perishables, with refrigerated boxes that range from 16 feet to 28 feet long. Maxim sells both new and used refrigerated and freezer box trucks, but we also have leasing and rental options available.

Most of our models are automatics with hydraulic brakes making them easy to drive without any special licenses.

What refrigerated truck brands do you sell?

When it comes to new refrigerated trucks, we sell International trucks. However, for used reefer trucks, we sometimes carry Volvo, Kenworth, Freightliner, Mack, WesternStar, and Peterbilt reefer trucks (just to name a few).

As an authorized Navistar dealer, we currently stock and sell new International MV607 in 4x2 and 6x4 configurations. We also carry International CV515 models in 4x4 and 4x2 configurations as well as used Durastar and , TransStar and Terrastar trucks models.

Most of our medium duty reefer trucks have Allison 6-speed automatic transmissions with hydraulic brakes &#; making them easy to drive without any special licenses. We do also carry medium duty trucks with air brakes for those jurisdictions in Canada that require air brakes on 5-ton trucks. Our medium duty chassis include single cab with bench or bucket seats, extended cab and double cab models. We offer single axle and tandem axle configurations. Engines include Cummins B6.7, Cummins ISB, Cummins L9, International 6.6L and International DT466 with horsepower ranging from 260 to 370. Wheelbase can range from 149 to 299 inches on our medium duty chassis. Axles weight ratings range from 7,500 to18, 000 lbs. on the front axle and 13,500 to 40,000 lbs. on the rear axles depending on the GVW you need for your particular application. Suspension options include Spring Ride or Air Ride.

How many refrigerated trucks do you have in stock? 

At any given time, Maxim Truck & Trailer has 50 to 100 refrigerated trucks in stock. Our inventory of medium duty trucks is located across Canada at our locations in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Prince Albert, Saskatoon, Regina, Brandon, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Mississauga and Montreal. Do you carry multi-temp reefer trucks?

Absolutely. Our options include units with multi temperature zones that allow you to haul fresh produce in one portion of the box while hauling ice cream in another for example.

What are reefer trucks used for?

Applications for our medium duty reefer trucks include short haul in-city deliveries of perishable goods including food and beverage cargo as well as other freight that needs to be temperature controlled and/or frozen food stuffs.
